On Wednesday the 13th of March team five went to the polyfest in Manukau. We
did lot's of activities and it was fun . When we got there, there were lots of other
schools waiting at the gate. We were the only Manaiakalani school wearing red. We
went to the other side of the polyfest and then we sat down. It was a beautiful day
but the sun was to hot. We sat down in about 10 or 15 minutes. After, we started
to do rotations. My group Pod four when first to the skipping activity and the other
one I forgot what its called. My partner was Petesa it was fun being with her. We
did a challenge with a skipping rope and it says that we have to do ten each to
make 40 or 50. Trendy and her partner won and then it was time...... we have to
challenge each other to see if who goes the longest. The last two was me and
trendy we were actually taking it seriously we were tired our legs were so sour
but then Trendy gave up and I won that challenge. Our next stop was the..... I also
forgot the name of that group but I still remember what we did. We have to
organise the flags to their islands. We were split into six groups. My group were
struggling because we keep on switching the flags. We tried our best but Marika's
group won and they won purple sunglasses. Our next rotation was the Tongan
group. We formed a circle and started playing a game called a thinking game.
Then we went to the Bright light community, we also did a game but it was about
teamwork we formed a chain by bending under and grabbing the others person
hand behind. The other group won flashy water bottle's. When we finished we
went and sat down in front of the stage and have lunch for about 15 minutes.
Then it was time for the performances but sadly there were no performance
but we did learn a dance it was so cool. But it was crowded with people and kids.
Then it was time to head back to school. That's what we did on Wednesday.
My least favourite part about poly fest was the time when we waited in front
of the stage in the sun, but my favourite part was learning the cool dance
challenge.
